The Misery’s Cycle Saga
Desolation is the third and final film in the Antioch trilogy (also known as The Misery’s Cycle Saga). It is the finale of a series I have been making on campus since my first term. In this final film, Antioch students face off against forces of evil that have made it into the real world via a dimension called The Desolate Kingdom, which is an alternate reality version of Antioch’s campus that serves as a purgatory for Antiochians. Combining elements of dark fantasy, surrealist horror, and offbeat humor, my goal is to create a satisfying and shocking conclusion to this story I’ve been developing for the past four years. The film will be shot in black and white with a combination of tense unbroken shots and quick editing. Desolation is a long-awaited showdown between Antiochians and evil forces trying to bring on an interdimensional war.
