Interventions for Youth Homelessness in the U.S: A Systematic Review
I am passionate about social work. I want a career path that allows me to help the needy. Specifically, I want to help homeless kids and youths. I believe that everyone needs shelter to live in. However, I may not be in a position to ensure that every kid or youth has a home. But I can be there for them. I can play some roles that can help improve their lives. I plan to focus on this population in my senior capstone project that will represent the culmination of the SDM and Antioch education. I plan to research the interventions for youth homelessness. The U.S identifies youth homelessness as a national challenge. In response, various approaches have been taken to address this challenge. Some of these interventions include counseling and treatment addressing health risk behaviors, direct housing assistance, and programs run by the government and charities.
